Vice President of Pre-Construction

Value Delivered

Kirk oversees the production and delivery of timely, accurate estimates that help clients make sound planning decisions, while communicating the significant value Heritage Mechanical Services provides. After reviewing a project’s initial drawings and specifications, Kirk and his team assess the scope of work and the HVAC systems involved, calculate man-hour costs, and obtain equipment estimates from vendors. When the numbers have been compiled, Kirk reviews them with the client, confirms that the commercial heating and air conditioning scope of work is complete, and, if necessary, makes appropriate revisions.

Kirk meets with the construction team to explain the basis for each project estimate and any special technical, scheduling, or financial considerations necessary to complete the work in accordance with the client’s highest expectations. He purchases the HVAC equipment and awards subcontracts.

In addition, Kirk maintains close contacts with a wide range of general contractors, keeping them abreast of the many ways Heritage Mechanical Services can help them deliver the HVAC component of their projects more efficiently while satisfying clients’ budgeting and scheduling demands.

Expertise

Kirk joined Heritage Mechanical Services in 1999 and since then has created estimates for a wide array of projects. In 2007, he was promoted to Chief Estimator, in 2009 promoted to Director of Pre-Construction Services and in 2023 he assumed his current position.

Kirk has a bachelor’s in computer arts and technology from Bloomfield College in Bloomfield, NJ.  He has also participated in the EMCOR Continuing Education Program, Sandler Training/TEM Associates’ Construction Business Development Leadership Training Program, Babson Executive Education “Leadership for Results”, New York Institute of Technology’s Environmental Technology Program, and New York University’s HVAC estimating course.
